Inserting Acupuncture Needles

Always use the enclosed tube when inserting the needles. This insures accuracy in the placement and the depth of the needle. Start at the top of the head and work your way to the feet.

One needle at a time, you use your finger tip to hold the handle of the needle far enough from the end of the tube so the point of the needle does not make contact.

While holding on to the tube use slight downward pressure at the proper Meridian Point, use your finger to tap the handle of the needle until the handle of the needle is flush with the tube. It is best to tap it hard enough once or twice to make a complete insertion of the needle.

At this time you insert the needle straight up and down into the skin. Once you know and understand what you are doing the angle of the needle along with the proper twist and depth will make the acupuncture even more effective. But now straight up and down will work.
